Caitlyn O'Bannon Fitzgerald '00 Memorial Endowed Scholarship (Rising Senior)

Caitlyn “Katie” Fitzgerald ‘00 touched the lives of many with her tenacious spirit and her generous heart in her short 19 years. As one of six children, Katie learned many sports at an early age. She found joy in activities such as soccer, basketball, track, tennis, and even football. With the help of her father and two older brothers, Katie quickly developed into a tomboy and could often be found in the weight room. She learned to play with high capability, a little attitude, and a lot of intensity. However, she also displayed an amazing grace and distinctive poise in every athletic event in which she participated. The Caitlyn O’Bannon Fitzgerald ‘00 Memorial Scholarship was established by Katie’s friends and family to support a Good Counsel student with significant financial need who exhibits Katie’s love and commitment to excellence through their extracurricular activities, especially sports.
