Dennis Essig

In 1978, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School welcomed a faculty member, Mr. Dennis Essig. At the time of his hire, fresh out of Catholic University, few could have imagined the impact he has had on the lives of thousands of Good Counsel students over the course of his 42-year career. A beloved foreign language teacher, he is known for recounting stories to help explain difficult lessons, offering sound advice, and playing his guitar. His love and passion for education have left an indelible mark on the Good Counsel community and we are excited to celebrate his tenure this June as he retires after forty-two years of service.
