Daniel J. McGivern

The Daniel J. McGivern Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005 by Michael and Jacqueline McGivern to honor the memory of their son, Daniel, who passed away unexpectedly during his junior year at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. Daniel was part of the National Training Group and represented Potomac Valley Swimming on the 2000 Short Course Eastern Zone team. Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School’s swim team. The scholarship is awarded each year to a current member of the Good Counsel swim team who, like Daniel, shows determination to succeed in all school activities.
